Nadia J. Arensdorf, Student & Teacher of the Word

Jeremiah 15:16 says everything that I feel:
Your words were found, and I ate them,
and your words became to me a joy
and the delight of my heart,
for I am called by your name,
O Lord, God of hosts.
Daily I am a Student of God’s Word. I love it! I read it, linger over it, meditate over it, pray over it–and I ask God to change me from it. In my Bible Journal I write what I’m learning. If something intrigues me, I write it. If I’m confused about something, I write it. I stay with a passage until I’m satisfied I have studied all I want to. This may take many days or weeks. Each morning I take as much time as I want–or as little time as I have. Some days I am rushed, so I write and pray less than other days. Daily is necessary, just as we need food daily to live and flourish, as Jeremiah indicates. What is important is spending time in God’s presence, enjoying Him, His Word, and His love for me. This is my life as a Student of God’s Word.
In response to my study of God’s Word, I write. I am a Writer. I write goodness for God’s glory. I edify the body of Christ through my writing. I write both fiction and nonfiction, but my preferred genre for writing is biblical nonfiction–actually, anything that emerges out of my time with God in His Word. The foundation of my writing is the Bible. Writing in response to my time with the Lord means I can preserve what I learn for myself, for my family, for others.
I am also a Teacher of God’s Word. I yearn for others to love it, too! I share what God says in His Word, what He has communicated to us, and, above all, His love for us. I teach at my church and other locations. I also write-to-teach. To me, there is nothing more satisfying than digging deep in the Word and having the privilege of imparting that knowledge to others–whether face to face or from afar with the written word. I love teaching and writing!
Finally, obedience to and application of God’s Word is important. Over and over in Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation, God compels and commands us to Go! I am a Go-er in many ways, including on mission trips, reaching out to those around me, especially internationals, whom I love, and to neighbors. I am so imperfect at this! But may God use me where I am.
Paul writes to Timothy in 1 Timothy 3:14-15, “I hope to come to you soon, but I am writing these things to you so that, if I delay, you may know how one ought to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, a pillar and buttress of the truth.”
Whether I am face to face–my preference–or communicating in the written word, I desire to share with others what God’s Word teaches and, above all, His love for us. This is my call ✝️📖🙏
I’m Nadia Arensdorf, a proud Californian happily living in Texas–and I arrived here via Green Bay, Wisconsin! 💚🏈💛
I love writing ✍️ and teaching 👩🏫. I want my website home to offer hope and encouragement, especially from the great Source of Truth, God’s Word. My desire is to build up the body of Christ.
